Backend Upgrade

I’ve been hearing constant earfuls these days from Owen Conti about how excellent wordpress is. As usual, I was quite skeptical. Since sagalbot 3.0 was put live, I’ve been making a solid effort in developing my own CMS specifically for the website. Shortly after beginning this process, I realized that it is indeed, pretty difficult.

After dealing with wordpress on tremphoto, I realized that maybe Owen was right. For the past week, I have been converting the site into a wordpress theme, learning lots along the way. Although I still plan on finishing off my CMS, sagalbot is now entirely wordpress powered. I have to admit… I really, really like it.

For the small percentage of you that visit the site in hopes of actually learning something, this is good news for you. Having such a powerful cms managing the site for me gives me much more time to focus on other things, such as adding tutorials to the blog and sharing some knowledge.
