I picked up an Apple TV 3 yesterday afternoon, and decided to see what the performance would be like having it run through the Xbox One’s HDMI input. I don’t have cable, so I figured I might as well make use of the input.
The ATV3 works perfectly hooked up into the Xbone. “Xbox go to TV” switches me over to the ATV, and I reap all the benefits of having the two systems combined. The only thing that could make it any better is having “Xbox go to TV” wake up/power down the ATV automatically.
It took me a while to get PlexConnect setup, but it’s working great now. The combination of Xbone, ATV and Plex is pretty much the ultimate media system.
